Come join Chances for Children and the City of Maricopa for the Stagecoach Days Maricopa Mile and 5K on October 10, 2010.

Chances For Children-AZ was reorganized on July 1, 2003 as a not-for-profit organization with the purpose of providing children in Arizona opportunities that otherwise may not be affordable to them.

Team Chances Maricopa is a fundraising marathon training team. Money raised by this local team goes toward fitness programs for children and families in Maricopa! With the goal of decreasing the obesity rate and teaching families how to play together, stay together and stay healthy, marathon and half marathon training group Team Chances is organizing members for its newest training cycle in Maricopa.

Fundraising efforts will help support Chances for Children in its latest programs for Maricopa, including Fit Kids, which encourages schoolchildren in Maricopa to become healthy and fit.

Team Chances Maricopa provided the Fit Kid Program to 5 classrooms at Santa Rosa Elementary They had 88 kids, 762 individual workouts and the kids logged 532 miles!! Team Chances is also working on bringing a second Maricopa 5K 1 mile fun run race to the community on October 10th

Team Chances also funded a Fit Family Challenge last year free to the families of Maricopa.
